Bag Du Jour

Need a bag idea? Sharing our bags of the moment which has the common feature to either wear it over the shoulder or as a crossbody.

Chloe Drew Bag

Viv’s go-to bag because it can instantly inject some sophistication to styles like casual chic and even grunge look.

And we can totally understand the adoration because this bag is a conversation piece. Look at that flap front with the interesting lock fastening!

If you’re sold on the beauty of the bag. Let’s talk about functionality.

Pretty roomy with space left after the Mulberry Blossom Pochette has been put in (Read review on Mulberry Blossom Pochette).

The medium size is preferred to the small size because of the shorter strap length and yet, it is still long enough to do a crossbody.

Here’s to match a dressier look.

To notch up a casual look

This bag spells that word we women are hankering after….Effortless Chic. Go get it, pronto!

Gucci Mini Swing Tote

Originally bought as a day travelling bag but this has since become Via’s current choice of weekender bag.

This is a small yet “powerful” package. It packs quite a fair bit (including an ipad mini). Of course, the lovely pop of red doesn’t hurt as well.

Don’t you love having compartments in a bag? Life leaves one no time to waste sometimes. Fishing for stuff in the bag like trying to pick at a lucky dip, is so not fun when you NEED that piece of item immediately.

Basically like a tote bag, you dump, zip up*, sling and you’re ready to go (*zipping up the bag I mean. Your skirt/shorts/jeans etc is a given I hope).

The strap length is adjustable so that you can wear it both over the shoulder or as a crossbody.

Fancy none? Just detach the strap and hold by the handles then.

Mansur Gavriel mini bucket

The infamous bucket bag that sends everyone scrambling to lay their hands on and unfortunately, half the time to no avail. If you are a fan, I’m sure you know they are not easy to get.

Deb’s favourite bag of the moment and this one is exclusive to Barneys New York, no less. How’s that to upping the “see-if-you-can-find-me” Mansur Gavriel hunting game?

Instead of the usual tanned or calf leather, this is in Saffiano leather (textured leather), which means, yes, you are officially allowed to let your cat’s paws on it.

The clean lines has an understated charm that can do no fault to any outfit:

Slung over the shoulder as a working bag..

Or across the body for a weekend look?. Hands up for versatility, anyone?

And no…I’m just kidding on the letting your cat’s paws on it. Animals have not been tested on this bag.
