Review: May May

Guess we were pretty early…only one table was occupied when we reached the restaurant…

Love the sunroof as it helps to brighten the whole place.

Lots of natural lighting = better pictures ??


And I was so happy to see their tables in my current fave – marble top!??

They do have a couple of big tables to accommodate big groups.

Oh did I miss out mentioning the name of this restaurant? It’s called May May.

I wonder if it was named after its owner. ?


We were told that the braised pork belly don and the butter poached cod are their more popular dishes.

We could add $3 to upgrade to a lunch combo, which includes a salad and a soft drink. We didn’t opt for that as we don’t feel like having a soft drink.

Would be great if they are flexible enough to allow us to change the drinks.

Both my lunch date and I ordered the butter poached cod as we wanted to eat something healthy.

Oh btw, that green tea cost us $6 each, which is too overpriced.


Looks pretty healthy isn’t it! All the healthy ingredients..I’m not a lotus root fan but this very thinly sliced pickled lotus root was surprising pretty good.

We paid additional $2 to “upgrade’ the white rice to quinoa, making this meal even healthier.Believe it or not, it’s also the first time my friend managed to finish her grains. ?

After our hearty & healthy lunch, we decided to balance it with something naughtier – Liu Sha (Salted egg yolk and custard) donuts.Oh, it’s one of their signature dish too.

Such an interesting marriage, this is the first time I’ve seen this combination – Donut & Salted egg custard.

OMG, this is super yum!

It’s $7 for a portion of three. Heard from my friend it used to be only $5.

I’ll certainly be back at May May again if I need to detox and yet not willing to forgo my carbo. ?
